Properties and uses

It is a kind of natural resin, and is a mixture of various organic acids with special chemical activity. It is an important chemical for use in papermaking, soap, ink, paint, rubber, synthetic resin, electrical insulating material, organic synthesis, etc

Special Properties: It is a Natural organic compound, mainly composed of resins, possesses chemical activity when dissolved in many organic solvents. Uses of Gum Rosin: At present, most gum rosin product is used for the manufacturing of paper, paint, soap and printing ink. Since gum rosin is easily softened and oxidized, in the oil paint industry, the carboxylation reaction of resin acid is usually employed to produce resinate for further use. While in the producing of synthetic rubber and printing ink, resin acid is changed into disproportionate rosin, polymerized rosin, hydrogenated rosin, etc for further use by its double bond reaction.

This wonderful forestry products has very valuable properties which can apply in various industries : adhesives, paints, paper, laser print inks, scent, wood vanishes, solvent, synthesis rubber, soap, antiseptics and germicide, electric insulators, metal surface active materials and nowadays, gum rosin is increasingly use as important materials for fine chemicals.
